UST-UE Round 2
I had no doubts that UST would take this one. Thoughts:
1. UE has to work on their reception. I think it doesn’t help their cause that UST is the second best serving team, pero andami kasing nakuhang aces ng UST eh. It all starts with reception, ika nga.
2. Better game from Rhea. I don’t think na sumablay siya sa pag-set ng quick kina Maika and Mia. And hindi siya pinahiya ng middles...

UP-UST Round 2
Ever since UP’s second round game against NU I’ve been wishing they could snag another win; the UST fan in me however was just disappointed that it had to come to the expense of UST. Congrats UP. Thoughts:
1. UP prepared well. A little too well. Lopez and Araneta are still very reliable. At least for the rest of the season sana sila palagi yung nasa left wing ng UP. And sa match-up...
ADMU-NU Round 2
ADMU-NU: Round 2 Riding on the high they’ve had going for their past games, ADMU defeats NU in straight sets, but the win was not handed over easily. Thoughts: 1. This game showcased the ability of two of the best libero’s in the league today. After suffering two straight-set losses from DLSU and ADMU, I didn’t know what to expect from the Tigresses; meanwhile, I knew NU was going to go all out. Still, UST defeats NU 27-25 25-14 25-12. Thoughts:
1. Jane was able to limit Rhea’s minutes. She deserved it, actually, being able to set-up quicks for Maika (who delivered too) and even score from attacks in the latter...

UST-ADMU Round 2
It’s sad that UST lost in straight sets. And this loss is actually their second straight loss, in straight sets too. But I believe in them still. Anyway…
1. I really still want to believe that UST is not just an Aiza Maizo team. But it shows, especially in their last two games. She wasn’t given a lot of sets today (as compared to their other games), IIRC, or maybe nasa backline...
NU-UP Round 2
A confession: this is actually the first time I’ve seen a UP game this season. Well not really; more like the first time I paid attention to them. Thoughts:

UST-DLSU: Round 1
Maybe studying for tomorrow’s 180.1 exam was a better idea. This loss was heartbreaking. Anyway, still, my thoughts:
1. UST still has no answer for Jacq’s running hits. Kahit nung championship pa last season.
2. If DLSU can get Gumabao to play opposite and relegate last year’s ROY Joanne Siy to the bench then this is making a statement in itself. DLSU’s bench is deep.
